At ICWAC we engage in poultry farming, which contributes to improving the nutrition of the children by providing them with eggs — a good source of protein and other important nutrients.
The poultry unit is one of several income-generating activities run at the centre alongside rabbit rearing and Irish potato cultivation. It feeds the children first; the surplus is sold, and what it earns goes back into the programmes.
