Clean water is a right, not a privilege
Safe water for drinking and cooking, clean sanitation facilities and hygiene habits that stop disease before it starts.
At ICWAC we promote good water, sanitation and hygiene practices to protect the health and wellbeing of the children and caregivers.
We ensure that children have access to clean and safe water for drinking, cooking, bathing and other daily activities.
We also emphasise proper sanitation: maintaining clean toilets and surrounding areas, proper disposal of waste and keeping the environment clean. Children are encouraged to practise good personal hygiene, especially regular handwashing with soap after using the toilet and before eating.
These WASH activities help prevent the spread of disease, create a clean and safe environment and promote healthy living among the children and caregivers at ICWAC.
Our wider WASH work includes:
