We are committed to the safety and wellbeing of every child in our community — through clear policies, safe spaces and support for the caregivers who raise them.
We are committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children in our community.
The Imbabazi Center provides essential support — clothing, shelter and education — for orphaned and vulnerable children. It also empowers caregivers, many of whom are widows, by offering training and financial programmes to help them sustain their families.
How we protect children:
- Implementing and enforcing child protection policies
- Providing safe spaces for vulnerable children
- Offering counselling and support services
- Working with caregivers so children stay within family structures wherever possible
- Vetting every visitor and volunteer who spends time with children
Our child protection policy also governs sponsor visits and any photography at the centre.
